Prof. Charles Odwin, RT, RDMS, PA-C is an OB/GYN Senior Licensed Physician Assistant at North Central Bronx Hospital for the past 20 years. He is Director of PAs Ultrasound at NCB Hospital and has over 25 years working experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. He was the Winner of the 2019 America’s Top Physician Assistant by Point of Care Network (POCN). He is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Physician Assistant Studies at Pace University, College of Health Professions. He is an author and co-author of nine textbooks and eight journal articles. He created four ultrasound DVDs for the preparation for trainees to the national ultrasound registry examination. Charles has received multiple awards, including The Kenneth R. Gottesfeld, MD Award for Outstanding Papers in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Journal. He is also an artist and attended to Brooklyn Museum Art school and received a Merit in Art in New York Education Art Exhibit. Dr. Arthur C. Fleischer is a recognized "thought leader" in ultrasound having over 40 years of experience in academic radiology and OB/GYN. He has been instrumental in establishing sonographer training programs and is currently Medical Director of the sonography school at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Fleischer has authored over 25 textbooks and over 250 scientific papers related to the clinical applications (both diagnostic and therapeutic) of ultrasound. He currently holds the Cornelius Vanderbilt Professorship in Radiology and OB/GYN at VUMC. He has served leadership positions in AIUM, ACR, and SRU. He has received the Larry Mack, MD Lifetime Achievement Award from SRU(2018), Distinguished Alumnus Award for Scientific Achievement from his medical school (Medical College of Georgia) in 2007 and Frank H. Boehm, MD Teaching Excellence Award from VUMC in 2005. He is very proud of the many sonographers he has mentored. George Berdejo is a registered vascular technologist (RVT) since 1990 and a vascular ultrasound specialist with a distinguished career in the Vascular Surgery setting as Director of Vascular Ultrasound Services at Montefiore in NYC (20 years) and is currently the Director, Vascular Ultrasound Services at the White Plains Hospital in White Plains NY. George has been responsible for all aspects of the operation and administration of the Vascular Labs at both institutions. George is Past President of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (2004-2005) and served on its Board of Directors. He is currently Chair of the SVU's Annual Conference Committee (2020 and 2021). He is the immediate Past and inaugural President of The SVU Foundation. The Foundation is the charitable non-profit sister organization of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound established to support and advance the community of vascular lab professionals through research, education, and scholarships. He has chaired the SDMS vascular track (2012) and is the current Chair of the Cardiovascular Community of the AIUM (2019-2020). In these positions he is primarily responsible for the Vascular Ultrasound content of both meetings. He has chaired the AVID SYMPOSIUM since 1992. The AVID SYMPOSIUM is considered among the best meetings, devoted to vascular applications of ultrasound in the world.

Arthur C. Fleischer, MD, Professor of Radiology and Radiologic Sciences, Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Chief of Diagnostic Sonography, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee In addition to Sonography in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Fleischer has edited several other books in this field. A seasoned and active educator, he runs nationally recognized sonography courses and is a leading member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine group.
Charles Odwin, BS, RT, RDMS, is the former president of the New York State Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. A recipient of the Publishing Excellence Award from the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, he teaches ultrasound to emergency department physicians and in ultrasound schools. He is also an artist whose illustrations appear ultrasound test books.
