Abdulsalam Al Qahtani is Head of the Otolaryngology, Head and Neck section, Department of Surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation and Head of the Qatari Cochlear Implant Program. Dr. Al Qahtani was appointed as Director of the ORL-HNS Residency Program at HMC in 2005. Along with his team, he has been organizing the Qatari review course in ORL-HNS since 2006. This course prepares residents for the Arab board examination and attracts participants from across the Middle East. He is also a board member of the Arab Academy of Audiology and a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council Otolaryngology Society, which promotes cooperation between otolaryngology surgeons in the Arabian Gulf region, especially in educational activities. Also, he is a Board member of the Qatar Red Crescent Society.
Hassan Haidar Ahmad is currently a Consultant in ENT, Head and Neck Surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar and Assistant Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology at the Medical College of Weill Cornell University. He is also the Program Director of the Otology fellowship program at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar. He received his medical degree from the Lebanese University in 2006, his Diploma in Microscopic and Endoscopic Surgery of the Base of Skull at Aix-Marseille University, Marseille, and his Diploma of Specialization in Otolaryngology from the Lebanese University in 2011. In 2013 he obtained his Diploma of Advanced Specialization in Otolaryngology (DFMS/AFS) from Aix-Marseille University, and completed his Sub-specialization Fellowship (Otology - Neurotology) at Nord University Central Hospital, APHM, Marseille, France.
Aisha Larem is currently a Senior Consultant in ENT, Head and Neck Surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar and sub-specialized in Otology. Holding a Master’s degree in Health Care Management from Dublin, she is also an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at both Weill Cornell Medical College and Qatar Medical College, Director of the ORL-HNS Residency Program at HMC, and Fellowship Director of ORL-HNS. She is a member of the Arab board council for ORL-HNS and director of the international Qatari review course for residents.
